Replacement UPVC Door Handles
If you're replacing your handles or want to add a bit of extra security, you'll choose the perfect handle for your door. The Upvc handles are simple to install and have the minimum 92mm central distance for multipoint locks.
The backplate fixing center and the dimensions of the lever/keyhole are the most important measurements. Compare these measurements carefully with your current measurements prior to ordering.
Lever/Pad
Lever pad door handles are made up of the lever handle on one side and a paddle-shaped handle on the other. They are designed to be used with key wind locks, although they can also be used to split spindle multipoint door locks (though you'll need an additional dual spindle lock case).

Some styles of handles are not available in all finishes. Always look over the technical drawings and dimensions sections for the particular item you are looking to ensure you get the right size and fit.
It is important to ensure that when you choose a new set of Upvc lever pad handles, they match the PZ (distance from the spindle of the handle to the middle of the hole of the cylinder) of your multipoint door locks. This is because they need to be aligned in order to ensure that doors stay locked, whether you are viewing them from the outside or inside. Our handles are designed to fit the majority of standard cylinders, however it is a good idea to double-check prior to purchasing.
You will need to remove your existing handles and dismantle the lock case if upgrading to dual spindle handle levers as this will require a split inline cylinder. They can be purchased separately, and we provide the complete technical diagram for you to look at in the images for each product.
After you have removed the screws that are holding your existing door handle it is recommended to loosen them, and then inspect the mechanism to see how it's performing. It is possible that you will need to loosen the screws a bit more in the event that they are not tight. Then you can remove the spindle and handle and replace it with a new door handle made of upvc. It is essential to ensure that the handle is in the correct position before screwing it into place. You can do this by placing your finger between the door frame, and the handle, to ensure that it's level.
Lever/Lever
The lever handles on doors are used to operate a multi-point lock with the Euro cylinder. They are found on a variety of double upvc doors as well as wooden and aluminum doors. They are available in two types, with an interior lever and a paddle on the outside. Sprung - they come with a spring cassette inside the backplate to bring the handle lever into a horizontal position. Non-sprung: These do NOT include a mechanism that can spring the handle lever into a horizontal position.
To fix the door handle lever that is sliding it is necessary to locate the hole or pin that is the detent access point. It's usually a small hole or protruding ring or rectangle that is located on the base of the handle plate. Once located you can loosen the set screw with the help of a screwdriver, and then remove it to release the lever to return to the horizontal position.
When the handle is in a horizontal orientation, you can put the screws back in place and tighten them until the handle remains fixed to the base plate. Consider applying a threadlocking solution to the screw threads in order to improve grip and prevent the threads from becoming loose over time.
There are upvc door handles of reasons that door handles for levers drop. The most common cause is that the fixings are too tight, causing the lever bearing to get tangled up against the door. It is also possible that the levers have not been adjusted at the right angle, which causes compression of the latch mechanism, preventing it from fully springing into operation.
The most common reason for a sprung lever not working properly is that the spring is not being in the proper position on the backplate. The most effective way to determine this is to turn the handle to see whether it changes to the horizontal position.

Lever/Snib
These upvc handles are also called 'Snib handle sets' and have an snib lock button located at the top of the lever. If you do not have a dummy locking device you can use this to secure the door. These handles are fitted with a Fullex lock 68PZ. (68mm between the spindle and the lock centre).
